Rhydian

Rhydian

To perfect his debut effort, Rhydian worked with an array of producers, with mentors including Steve Mac, Desmond Child, Quiz & Larossi, Per Magnusson and David Kreuger.

An array of original tracks were written especially for Rhydian, including the heart-stirring ‘I’m Coming Home Again’ and the stunning lead single ‘The Impossible Dream’.

The album also features his showstoppers from the X Factor, Simon and Garfunkel’s ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’, West Side Story’s ‘Somewhere’ and ‘What If, a fantastic duet with Broadway star Idina Menzel.

Rhydian commented, “You can’t rush a good album; we wanted to make something timeless, full of great songs, not just an X Factor tribute.” Rhydian added: “Whatever song I sing, I try to put my own stamp on it.  I am classically trained, but I don’t regard myself as an opera singer. I quite like the fact that I don’t fit into any particular style. I just try and connect with a song myself and then, if I’m moved, I can actually make a magnetic connection with an audience.”

Tracks

  1. The Impossible Dream
  2. To Where You Are
  3. What If

Ps could somebody perhaps remove Gribbles’ first message which at first sounds like he/she was complaining about one of Rhydian’s songs! Having read the second message, I now realise it wasn’t one of Rhydian’s songs being referred to!!! phew!

I cannot believe how anyone can think ‘impossible dream’  or ‘to where you are’ are rubbish tracks!  I think they are beautiful - I have listened to them several times and still enjoy them every time.  ‘you raise me up’ is of course a great favourite but so are the above two tracks.

I misunderstood your first message Gribbles - I thought you were referring to the above 2 tracks I mentioned in my previous message at 7.55 pm - my sincere apologies.  SORRY

You have such a stunning voice, mesmerising. It is so gripping. I cannot wait for the album to be released, good things come to those who wait. From what I have heard so far it sounds brilliant, your future is so bright, always set new goals and never lose sight of them. Good luck. Craig
