Rhydian Roberts has revealed that he would love to sing with Leona Lewis.
The Welsh singer, who finished second in the X Factor in 2007, fancies collaborating with the X Factor winner, as well as with Christina Aguilera.
“I would love to duet with Leona and Christina – they’re great singers and I know the voices would go well together,” he said.
“I love their live performances, they’re really good.”
Rhydian – whose new album O Fortuna is released on November 30 – would also like to work in musical theatre with Andrew Lloyd-Webber.
“I’d love to have a role created for me on Broadway and in the West end,” he said. “I adore Andrew’s works, I do. Love Never Dies, the New York Phantom (Of the Opera), is incredible. That’s already been cast, but who knows? I might go in at third cast or something.”
He added: “The trouble with theatre is that you have to go in for a minimum of three months. if you ask me to do a concert performance, I’m well up for it, but I can’t go into a show for 12 months at the moment. It leaves very little time for anything else.
“It’s a commitment, but one that I will embrace when it comes. in the future, I can see myself living in the West end, doing a West end show. I’d be quite happy because I’m passionate about theatre.”
